Channel 3 News Report - Health: High-Tech Hair Net
Channel 3 News reports on CNNH's advanced EEG technology, Dense Array Electroencephalography (DA-EEG), which helps doctors more accurately analyze brain functioning with less stress to patients. Thanks to a high-tech hair net, eliminating the need for scalp scraping and gluing electrodes, doctors can see what's going on in a person's brain with six times more information than provided by a traditional EEG. Dr. Mark Mintz, Pediatric Neurologist and CEO of CNNH explained to Channel 3, "Dense Array EEG test has more sensors, 128 in all, which send real time brain activity to a computer, mapping the problem areas. It can detect seizures from epilepsy to other electrical changes often seen in patients with autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder." Thanks to Dense Array EEG technology, more accurate diagnosis are being offered with better treatment outcomes for patients.
